Lions Mini Golf Opening

The Lions Mini Golf in the Palm Nth Esplanade was opened to the public at midday on Sat 1st Oct after an official ceremony was held on a cold and windy morning. Our sponsors, builders and club members were in attendance. The site was blessed by Wiremu Te Awe Awe, the ribbon was cut by our oldest club members Jim Whitfield & Nelson Speirs along with a youth representation whom then played the 1st hole.'

  • Snap Back Boxing

    Donated $3,000

    Snapback also specialises in working with youth groups to channel their energy in a fun and engaging manner to be leaders, good role models and positive contributors to society.

  • Wellington Children’s Hospital, Playscape Project.

    Donated $3,000

    Lions Clubs of Districts 202M, 202D and the top of 202E have pledged $500,000 for the construction of a specially designed therapeutic playscape in the new Wellington regional Children’s Hospital.

  • Special Olympics - Manawatu

    Donated $1,000

    Special Olympics Manawatu provides meaningful sport opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.

  • Ronald McDonald House

    Donation $1,000

    Families come to our Wellington House from across New Zealand. Our House is a ‘home-away-from-home’ for families, providing a safe haven to retreat to after a long day on the hospital ward.

  • Kairanga Lions Club Cancer Treatment Appeal

    Donation $1,000

    To go towards treatment of Keytruda immunotherapy for a young mother with stage 3 cancer.

  • Relay-Our-Way donation

    Donated $1,834

    In lue of no event this year a Relay-Our-Way picnic was held and donations from members, parnters & friends of Middle Districts of $917 which was then matched by the club.

  • Camp Quality

    Donation $1,000 - purchase 4 packs in lieu on no camp this year

    Each box will be packed with toys, games, puzzles, books, resources, and activities. Every child will receive their own special box and an invitation to take part in a range of on-line activities.
